Senior Employment Service
The Senior Employment Service offers a number of services to seniors who are looking for employment. All services are free of charge.

Seniors Seeking Employment Workshops
The Seniors Seeking Employment workshops help seniors who are entering or re-entering the job market.
Sessions in the workshops include:
- Writing resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters
- Attitude and self-esteem
- Interview skills
- And more
The workshops feature visits from employers who discuss the jobs they have openings for and the best way to get your resume noticed. The workshops are free but you must register by calling the Senior Employment Service
Individualized Job Counseling
Any mature individual who is seeking a job can come in and talk privately with Senior Employment Service staff about concerns they have about their job search, their self-image, the effects of a job loss, how to cope, and other issues that affect their ability to find a job.
Job Fairs
Senior Employment Service Job Fairs are held twice a year, in May and October, at the Ross Building or the O’Connor Senior Center. Job fairs highlight jobs of special interest to seniors and feature employers who know the value of hiring the older worker.
